[Readers Update] At last, the final calf arrives - and a new short ebook, also...

Now catching up with the farm. And working to "un-pause" things...

Hi again,

Thanks for reading this.

And if you got this in your email and don't feel you need it, please unsubscribe below.

  • Another Namerator request for this next new calf, please...
  • Tiny home construction - creakingly re-starts.
  • A new book released, as promised.

Farm News

Yes, that last calf showed up - just in time for next week. A darling.

This week's featured calf is number 17 (one more to bring to you at this writing):

Another heifer calf. No sockfeet, no white on tail. Very interesting pattern. And RED. So this should give you lot of fuel for your namerators (yes you can always send me more than one name.)

Mother's name is "Lefty", and has only a smallish white mark on her left side. Dad was this Hereford, so that's why the white face.

So here's your chance to give her a name - just reply to this email with your inspiration(s)...

Cozy Cottage (Tiny Home) Progress

Well the A/C works, but has a rough time with such a small metal house sitting out in the sun. This week should find us finishing the precise cuts and installing the sheathing for the two top ends (with their gambeled roof lines.)

A New Fiction! - The Case of the Haunted Heirloom

Editing done, it's now published and in the Insiders Club for free reading (along with lots of other great stuff.)

This early work reveals my particular approach towards ghosts - that they are beings on their own, with their own after-life problems. New cover, new blurb, better language. A nice prequel to "When the Dreamer Dreamed".

Doreen didn't seem to know what she was doing ever since that jeweled pendant arrived. Her mind literally wasn't her own – completely.

Her day-dreams and nightmares kept taking her to foreign lands – the same exact location.

The cryptic messages that came with the pendant didn't explain anything, but just deepened the mystery. Why was it “her turn” to own this jewel – or did it own her?

Decoding the jewel and its message lead her to the reclusive professor in an inherited lighthouse. And five ghosts she would have to persuade to help her decipher that jeweled pendant's clues.

According to the professor, she only needed to bribe them.

By this time, Doreen took that challenge in stride...

Re-releases Still on Hiatus

And still, nothing new this week. Catching up on things around here on the farm (in this heat) plus the romance "research", both set getting the re-releases updated to take a back seat.

Again, there are three Ghost Hunter Canons are all but ready to bring out in new versions. And these were each built from four Ghost Hunter anthologies. The first one will have a special introductory price, and will only be a direct link (for obvious reasons) as this is slated to be advertised to get people into that fiction series. But the regular-priced version will be updated.

And I do have other paperbacks to get issued, like the J. R. Kruze collections. (An editor's job is never done.)

But - a new fiction still continues in the background...

That new fiction story you've heard about earlier is still writing itself (and being a bit insistent about being written in spite of.) Even on vacation, new scenes showed up. We're working on its underlying theme right now.

Has to do with the actual universe you create for yourself, which has little or nothing to do with the "real world" you told runs things. Of course, examining this through the eyes and reactions of fictional characters makes it even more exciting. (Still, these characters can nag. And nag they do - until they are finally brought to life via publishing.)

Yes, you can start to get all excited over new stuff again. And again, the only thing I can tell you is to stay tuned.

News and New Plans

There's always too much to do here in too little time available. It's always setting priorities and working these through. Visit and do a search to find all that are out there already. Plenty of stuff to help you improve your life.

A long-term plan is developing which will bring out the Nightingale essays I have as videos. Because these have been forgotten mostly, but are timeless. And then segue into the other classic texts I've always referred back to along these lines. There are about four years of these to produce, if I only get two produced each week.

It's all a matter of stealing time here and there, and becoming more efficient with the time I have.

So, patience becomes the watchword...

What's Ahead?

Back from vacation in the Smoky Mountains, where we concentrated on seeing historical sites. All in the breathtaking vistas there.

And my romance research partner is involving me in more historical sights - all of which are building for a new series of books which take place pre-Civil War...

PS. Summer fruit

Elderberries are in still their green state right now, but in a week or so will be bountiful. I'm currently going through our last year's syrup with breakfast every morning.

Coming soon are the wild plums, followed by paw-paws. But those will be in the fall. Which can't come too soon.

Oh - wait, there's more: The recent results just confirm all I've been telling (some of) you for years - you can actually have and be anything and everything you want out of life. Really. Whether it's finding a dear companion or a million-dollar salary. And it's all in that "Strangest Secret Collection" (my characters named it the "decoder ring"). You only have to take the leap of faith and put it into use...

(Again, to get your updated copy, just reply to this and ask - I'll send you the most recent edition if you don't have yours or misplaced it.) As well, I do need to get some courses up, so I'll start working these in once I get all the major non-fiction books republished.

Become a First Reader

First readers have now become collaborators. And get the first inklings of a story before anyone else except me. (They also get immediate notification and pictures of new calves.) Our interactions are what result in the Notes editions for each book. It's simple to become one - just raise your hand.

How to Raise Your Hand: Join the no-cost Insider's Club and then send me an email that you have. Tell me what you bring to the table. If you make a good case, I'll include you on my First Reader Emails.

Expect great things over the next year - and continuing...

Thanks again for opening this. And reading these books.

And leaving a rating on the Living Sensical site for the stuff you buy there.

As well as leaving recommendations on Bookbub in addition to reviews anywhere else.

You know, that "paying it forward" kinda thing.

Do keep sharing these books with your friends, too.

I hope your life is not too interesting to be overwhelming, but sufficiently engaging to keep you amused. (Like some of us here...)

PS. Again, you can always email me about anything.

What you're here for is to enjoy life. If you're not enjoying every single moment, then you're working too hard at living. Relax. Let go. Follow your bliss.
